My Sephora and Ulta orders

What did you get?

I know you are all really on the edge of your seat about my purchases :)  Still, since I asked so many questions about color and product recs, I thought I'd give an update on what I bought.

Sephora:

Benefit The Pretty Committee set (mini High Beam, full size Bella Bamba blush (a pretty shimmery watermelon color), full size Eye Bright, mini Stay Don't Stray)

Too Faced Natural Flirt Makeup Collection (full size eye shadow in Magic Mushroom (a gorgeous shimmery pink), mini lashGasm mascara, mini Shadow Insurance primer, full size Pink Leopard Brightening Bronzer, full size Glamour Gloss in This is Pretty, and a petite pouf brush)

I ditched the Murad Oil Control Mattifier at $39.50 to first try Milk of Magnesia on my oily t-zone.

I also got my birthday gift - mini Fresh Sugar balms duo.  I'm excited about this because I've been wanting to try them.

 Ulta:

Tarte Blush & Bronze on the Go (mini size Park Avenue Princess bronzer and Amazonian Clay blush in Dollface).  I couldn't decide on a Tarte blush color, so thought this is a good way to try a small version.

NYX stuff is on sale, so I got four jumbo eye pencils, two jumbo lipstick pencils (I'm really excited about these!), four slide on eye pencils, and one sparkle eye pencil.

Two Rimmel lip glosses

Some sort of free gift that's a cosmetic bag with 10 deluxe samples.

I'm still peeling a bit from my chemical peel, but as soon as my skin is back to normal, I'm going to try MOM on my t-zone.  I think I will also try the Monistat Chafing Gel as a primer for the rest of my face.

Re: My Sephora and Ulta orders

  • I'm looking at the picture of the Ulta free gift and am pretty excited about a few of the deluxe samples -  especially the Smashbox O-gloss, Lorac TANtalizer (the new darker color), and UD Lip Junkie gloss.
  • Did you get the 20% coupon for Ulta that starts Friday? I'm loading up my cart today to check out then. I also got a few great NYX things from there this week, that I really like. I love my Tart Amazonian Clay blush but I probably didn't get the best shade for my skin tone so I hardly use it.

  • I didn't get an Ulta coupon! :(

I got this set too.  The Stay Don't Stray is actually full size too!

  • Can I ask how you feel about the results of your peel?  I'm thinking about doing a TCA peel soon, but only the 8% since I can't take any time off of work to do it.

Fun purchases!  At Sephor I bought Tarte Amazonian Clay blush in Natural Beauty, a NARS eyeshadow duo, KP Duty moisturizer for the chicken skin on my arms, and Clinique spot treatment. At Ulta I'm planning to get a Tarte Smolder Eyes liner in Fig and Urban Decay De-Slick Powder.

I actually haven't seen the coupon :(  There was a promo code for $10 off a purchase over $60, though, which was probably a little less than 15% off my order.

Awesome!!  I just love buying value sets because they are such a good deal.  The Bella Bamba looks like it's sooooo pretty and I can't wait to get it.

My skin is soooo soft now!  I also think my skin is overall lighter and more even.  I wasn't expecting amazing results or anything, and have read that doing a series of peels gives the best results.  I'd like to do them once a month.

I was surprised to not have really nasty peeling.  The down time was less  than I expected.  I think I only had two days where it was pretty gross looking to where I didn't want to go out.  The peeling has been more like flaking, and for the last two days I could just put on plenty of moisturizer and it's really not noticeable.  I think that next time I'll do it on a Thursday evening.  The day after I just had tight skin, which really wasn't noticeable, and if I peel the same as I did this time, I'd be presentable by Monday.

That's great that you've had some good results already!  And  I'm glad to hear that you didn't have too many days of horrible peeling--I think that's the scary part.   I think you've given me the courage to try it  (Although I'm nursing now, so I'll have to wait a few more months until I'm done, ugh!).   Will you please share updates as you go?
