I suck at making spaghetti sauce. Help or rec a recipe?
I've tried a couple different recipes- a bolognese from weelicious (it's ok), PW's manly meaty recipe or whatever it was called, and also the simple recipe of San Marzano tomatoes, onion and butter found on Annies Eats (didn't love the taste and the sauce doesn't stick to the noodles). None are anything to rave about and after last nights spaghetti night, my H says he prefers the Prego jarred stuff over what I've been making. I consider myself to be a great cook and I don't want to give up and go back to buying pre made sauce. If anyone has a great recipe or link to one in their blog, I'd appreciate it!

giada's marinara sauce is excellent and a great base recipe. you can find it on foodnetwork.com it's easy and delicious!
also some sauces stick to pasta better than others and some pastas are better for holding sauce-like rotini holds sauce better than spaghetti.
I dice an onion, saut? in olive oil, add four to five cloves of garlic, and then a can of tomatoes, I love Pastene Ground tomatoes. Cook for about fifteen minutes, add some salt, pepper, fresh basil, and occasionally a dash of sugar if needed.
That's it! Yum! Now I want pasta.
