I'm defying your advice as I type.  DH is on his way to pick up this beauty:

Looks like it will need a little work, but I'm excited :)

Aaaaaaand CL/husband fail.  I hate it.  It's way too Victorian and in much worse shape than it appears in the picture and in worse shape that others we've seen.  Why, oh why did I let DH go by himself instead of making him wait until I could go?  Boo!

  • And that's what you get for going against my advice....LOL just kidding!  That looks like such a cute table.  What's wrong with it?  Just lots of dents and scratches?  Are you going to turn around a sell it on CL?

I like the idea of having a bin table I just personally would want more cabinet space in a kitchen that small.  But it's not my kitchen so my opinion doesn't really matter.  Whatever floats your boat!

Well, it's SUPER short.  That's the first problem.  Even though I'm 5' tall, I have to lean over to reach the top.  It looks silly.  The metal drawers are rusty (NBD, we'll steel wool them I guess) and have big gaps at the joints.  There are holes chewed by rodents in the backs of all the drawers and on the front in one place.  I'm not totally squeamish, but blech.  DH is going to at least do some repair work on it before we think about trying to "trade" it in on CL, but I don't think I'd ever be happy with the height.  I'm not crazy about the hardware either, but I think it's original and it's pretty ornate, so I'd hate to replace it (I could replace and just keep the hardware).
