Retin A users- Do you put it on your neck or back of hands?

If yes, how often and how much?

 Any adverse reactions from it?

Re: Retin A users- Do you put it on your neck or back of hands?

  • any that is left over i rub on to my neck and then i rub the back of my hands.. no adverse reactions to it at all.

  • I used to do a  pea size on my face, a pea size for neck and chest, and then a tiny dab on the back of each hand.  I stopped doing everything but my face because I don't want to bother with sunscreen every day on my hands, neck and chest.

Also, in the morning be sure to always wash every area where you used Retin-A!  I typically shower in the morning, but once I showered at night, did Retin-A on face, neck, and chest, and in the morning I washed my face but forgot about the other areas.  By that evening, my chest had broken out into an itchy rash.

My derm uses it all over.  Not literally smearing it all over her body, but she regularly does her neck, hands and chest, and will even do little spots on her body that she wants to slough off/lighten, like a freckle or spot on an arm or leg.
