Parking at Lake Eola

We are planning on going to the Fall fest tomorrow.. anyone have any suggestions about parking? I live south of Orlando, so Im not super familiar with downtown. I don't mind walking, I just want to be somewhere safe since I have 3 babies to load up in a stroller. Thanks!

Re: Parking at Lake Eola

  • We usually park in the parking garage near the park - I think it is on the corner of Rosalind and Robinson (I might be wrong). You might pay a few dollars but you have a protected spot ans space to unload our stroller.

We are going tomorrow also. If I see a triplett stroller I'll say hi. Big Smile

  • I also recommend a parking garage. We went to the festival one year and finding a spot on the streets was a nightmare! And I'm sure loading a stroller on a busy street isn't much fun.

My husband works next to the Waverly on Lake Eola, and there's a garage right in front of his building on Pine and Rosalind. Most of the people who park there have passes, but they will probably have a parking attendant tomorrow.

     Have fun!

  • Okay, totally butting in here, but have you been on this board long?  I don't recognize you, and judging from your siggy I bet you have a very interesting birth story!  Smile  Well, just in case you are new - welcome!!
  • Thanks Jackie- no, I don't come to this board too often, but I find myself here more and more lately, asking about local stuff. The past year I havent gotten out much and now that my babies are older, I'm feeling more confident about taking them out:) I'm usually on the multiples board asking baby questions!

And yes, my birth story was definitely interesting:) I started writing it today in my blog, link below.

  • And thanks for the suggestions!
  • i went today and we found a spot on the street right away. but if you go down to Eola and Cental there is a hidden garage there that always has parking and it is right by the entrance.

p.s. looking forward to hearing your birth story - and how about how you found out you were PG with triplets? did you do IVF or did you have triplets naturally?

  • Mrs TLC- I'll give you the abridged version:) We found out we were having triplets at an early ultrasound (7 weeks)- it was only our second cycle ever trying, so no, no fertility treatments- just got lucky! The ultrasound tech asked if I was on fertility and I didn't even know what she meant by that- then she asked if multiples run in my family, which they don't. I was thinking, holy crap, its twins!! Then she turned the screen and pointed to 3 little sacs, at which point we started laughing, and sweating instantly. Very surreal:) Still is!
  • Emma - I don't know anyone who had triplets without being on fertility meds, much less someone who didn't have a family history of multiples! How exciting and fun!

  • Emma - Your babies are super cute, and what an amazing story!

On the subject of parking, I definitely agree with going for a parking garage. I usually go to the one off of Rosalind that one of the previous posters mentioned, but if that one's full, you could go east of the lake into Thornton Park and there's a couple of garages in that area (sorry I forget the precise address, but there are signs pointing to parking).

Hope you have a fun day!

  • Wow, thanks for sharing your blog, I'll look forward to reading it!  I'll have to wait until I have a chunk of time, because I know I'll end up reading it all in one sitting!  Smile
  • Thanks everyone for the compliments and advice, me and my cutie babies had fun at the Festival (till it started raining) and had no problem with parking. We went to a garage right at the corner of the park, it was perfect.
