Growing Herbs in the Living Room?
I've never planted anything anywhere, ever. My house doesn't have a lot of lovely house plants, but I wanted to take a stab at growing herbs. (Basil, Parsley, & Oregano). I have a set of little pots to start, and I know they need direct sunlight. The only place that really gets good direct sunlight is in the windowsill in the living room. The pots look fine there, the colors and style generally match the decor, but it still seems odd.
Is it weird to grow herbs in the living room? Esp. when I have no other plant life in my home?

Nothing wrong with that:-) I think plants always add something special, especially when they are edible.
