Avocado Grilled Cheese
Uncured bacon has not been preserved with nitrates or nitrites (which have been strongly linked to colon and rectal cancers). Nitrates prevent rancidity and preserve "pink" coloration in processed meats (hot dogs, bacon, etc.). You can usually find 1-2 uncured versions of bacon (pork or turkey) in most grocers. Hope that helps!

It does actully! I've always just called it "nitrate free" I didn't realize it actually had a term for it. I always try to get nitrate free whenever I can find it.
