Oh Feet... why must you hurt? Advice?

Yes, I know... if they were hurting a lot, I would be going to the doctor. It feels more like the tops of both feet could use a really good stretch. The "pain" (but maybe I should call it stiffness?) gets worse when I flex my foot down and push on my big toe. I'm probably not discribing this very well... but has anyone experienced this before?

I got back into running a couple of months ago, but I only run two miles at a time about three times a week. I built up to that too. It's nothing too strenuous, and I have good running shoes.

I wonder if it's related to the really old and unsupportive everyday work shoes I've been wearing lately.

Help? and thank you!

  • Soak them in warm water and elevate them.

  • What shoes are you wearing? It sounds like my issue before I got my vibrams. The laces were causing me that pain (as well as causing my toes to go numb) so I switched to the Vibrams (since they don't have laces) and don't have an issue anymore. I think Asics also make normal shoes that have laces that curve with your foot so that this doesn't occur (if you want a normal running shoe).
