On Monday I am having a 2, 3, and 4 year old coming over to bake. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on what to bake. I was thinking chocolate chip cookies but have different things for the kids to mix in(coconut, peanut butter chips, marshmallows, nuts). I was also thinking sugar cookies for them to put sprinkles on, but if I do that I feel like I need to make the batter before the kids arrive so it is chilled. Any thoughts and ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Oh, and would you make just one kind of cookie?
Re: Cooking with toddlers
I would make just one kind of cookie, things can get hairy fast! I've also got a goldfish recipe that is great because you don't have to worry about them eating the dough since there is no eggs etc.!

Cookies or cupcakes. Both are simple and easy and you can just have them add/pour things in and have them help you with the mixer
Im a teacher and love doing cupcakes with my kids. I pre bake and give them Popsicle sticks to spread the frosting and then let them decorate with candy or whatever. A few cute ones i made that were simple were butterfly cupcakes, tie dye cupcakes, frog cupcakes, hello kitty, you can dye come white frosting assorted colors, they will have a blast
