Did you see this? Models without airbrushing

image

Alessandra Ambrosio, Crystal Renn, Brooklyn Decker

The article that accompanies it is about whether we should do away with airbrushing (yeah right), but I thought the picture was interesting, to say the least. Thoughts?

Re: Did you see this? Models without airbrushing

  • Do you have a link to the article?

Crystal Renn (wasn't she a plus size model or am I thinking of someone else?) and Brooklyn Decker look so normal. I kind of like them more now.

  • I'd still punch a grandma to look like that.

    image.
  • Something looks off with this photo. It's taken from too far away, it's super blurry. Also, only the one in the middle looks less than model-fit.
  • I added the link to the OP!

I enlarged it for this post.

The one in the middle is a size 12, she is a plus-size model. Brooklyn Decker (on the right) is a SI swimsuit model.

That is because the middle model is considered "plus size".

And don't you love how Alessandra Ambrosio is standing?

  • I would rather look like the two on the right than Alessandra Ambrosio. She is scary skinny.

  • Darn, Yahoo is blocked at work :(

  • I would most want to bone the middle one.
    Look with your special eyes.
  • Yeah, Crystal Renn and Brooklyn Decker are not skinny minis anyway (as far as modeling goes!) but Alessandra is skinny as *** here.

I think this is a bad photo for what they are trying to say.

  • The one on the far left looks really, really underweight. And I think she has to pee.

I feel much better about myself seeing the one in the middle. Add some stretch marks (thank you DS), more boob and a pair of glasses and that's pretty much me. Sweet! There's still no chance that I'd wear a string bikini though.

Meh on the far right girl. She looks normal. Dunno why she'd need airbrushing.

  • I think the ones on the right look the most normal.  The one on the far left is too skinny.  But they all look gorgeous without airbrushing.  We need to do away with it.

Agreed. And not in the "I'm a jealous biotch" way.

  • I think what's most interesting to me about Alessandra Ambrosio is that even though her hipbones are showing, her arms look like toothpicks, and I can count her ribs at 50 paces, she still has that tiny bit of softness to her lower belly that most women have. I wish they wouldn't airbrush that out.

But if you look, thats how her body is. Her legs are in great shape and look pretty muscular. Her arms are thin but not in an anorexic way or anything. She also has a very young child, so go her for getting her abs back.

I noticed that on second look.  Those are not the thighs of someone who's starving herself away.  It may just be easier for her to maintain that tiny stomach.

This is exactly what I thought when I opened the picture.

And the one in the middle is a size 12? I'm in a 16, not that much bigger, and I sure wish I looked like she does at a 12! I'm probably about ten inches shorter than her, though.

    Oh, FFS.
