Sorry, sorry, sorry! I know this has been asked five bazillion times.
What's the rundown on properly painting oak cabinets? I'm ready to jump in and try it in our bathroom.

I'm in the middle of painting our kitchen cabinets. I don't think they're oak though.
I started by sanding (20+ hours), then cleaning the sanding material, now I'm priming w/Zinnser's oil-based primer (15 hours), then sanding again, then painting w/2 coats of professional semi-gloss latex.
Good luck! A bathroom cabinet should be much faster.
