We are having our whole (new) house painted. We have a large master with an en suite bath that I really wanted to have a spa-like feel. The bath is painted Benjamin Moore November Skies which is a really nice gray-toned blue and looks great with all the white trim and tile. The bedroom I wanted to be a shade lighter in the same family of colorsso I went one color down on the chip card thing and chose Beacon Gray and I HATE IT!!!! It looks like a huge baby-boy blue nursery. We are having it repainted but now I'm at a loss for what to do. We like and are keeping the master bath as it is. Does anyone have recommendations for a color that would complement November Skies? The room is huge and fairly good light so the lighter Beacon Gray is just too pastel in the space so I'm wondering if I should go darker.... but then I'm afraid it'll look too dark blue or dark gray.
I have to let the painter know TOMORROW since he is almost done with the whole house. TIA!
Re: Bedroom paint color HELP!
If you're not opposed to a brown, the BM site thinks November Skies goes well with Branchport Brown and Roxbury Caramel. Involving Color just featured a bedroom in Branchport Brown that came out really great http://involvingcolor.com/blog/behr-gulf-winds-and-benjamin-moore-branchport-brown/
If you're open to green, I also saw a photo that had November Skies with Castleton Mist.
geige shades are also spa like and could work. my favorite is BM's revere pewter (i have only ever used color matched versions of it in behr or valspar's paint w/primer options). we have it in our basement (b/c of the lack of natural light) and in our master bath.
