Who's around this evening? Plans for the weekend?
What's everyone up to this evening and weekend?
After a productive day around the house (since I was off) and cooking dinner, I'm taking it easy on the couch catching up on TiVo with a glass of wine.
Tomorrow: help with pancake breakfast w/ Easter bunny (Relay fundraiser), help with egg hunt and lunch at my parents' church
Sunday: church, lunch at gma's
Re: Who's around this evening? Plans for the weekend?
DH and my neighbor hatched some plan for all of us to go to neighbor's synagogue tomorrow night. I've never been to a Jewish service before (well, we used a rabbi at the wedding, but I don't think that counts). Neighbor's wife is culturally Jewish (pretty non-religious as far as I can tell), but jokingly says she's going only under threat of divorce
So I'm not sure what I'm in for exactly. DH is culturally Jewish too, but as far as I know hasn't been to a service since he was a child, so I can't even ask him what to do/not do. In fact, he told me I'm tasked with asking a lot of questions for both of us so that he doesn't look bad. I don't even know where to begin with deciding what to wear. I just hope I don't embarass anyone (myself especially).
I don't really have much of a plan for the rest of my weekend. First time in a long time! I'll probably just be really lazy. Maybe do some cleaning.
I just got home.
Tomorrow, I have to babysit in the afternoon. Then we have evening Easter service and after-drinks with my family.
Sunday, I am volunteering at church for 3 and a half hours. In the afternoon, we will go over to my aunt and uncle's for Easter festivities. Then, I am planning on turning on the TV and doing nothing but vegging for a few hours.
