How to get glowing/dewy skin without looking oily?

How does one get that beautiful glow that Jennifer Lopez always seem to have? If I try to go for that I feel like my skin only looks oily? Any make up tips?

A good highlighter will definitely help.  My favorites are Bobbi Brown shimmer bricks and Benefit's Watt's Up.

  • I will definitely give that a try:) Thanks for the tip!
  • I use Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfector and completely love it. I totally get the dewy look :)
  • I find that highlighters make me look oily...especially in pictures, so I avoid them anywhere other than my eyes.

Instead, I use a bronzer and blush that has a little bit of shimmer in them to give me color and a subtle glow that doesn't make me look greasy.

I'm currently using Korres monoi oil bronzer in sunglow light (under cheek bones and to contour) and Nars orgasm blush (on apples of cheeks).

Unfortunately, I think Korres might have discontinued the bronzer, cuz I'm not finding it anywhere now :-(

ETA: You can get it online from stores in the UK still, but that means higher shipping costs!

  • I mix liquid illuminator with my foundation.  I'm using benefit moon beam now.  It's very subtle and it extends the life of my pricey foundation.  Or you just apply it after putting on all of your makeup in a dot where you want and blend in with your fingers.
