May Day... cute treats?

Hi gals!

Do you do May Day snacks/baskets?  I always do for coworkers, but I want to make May Day goodies for my daycare gals kids.  Please share your fun ideas.  Thanks!

eta - I realize I'm insanely early, but I'm so busy that I need a month in advance to think about these things!

Say whhaaaat?!

On May first you drop off "May Day Baskets" to your friends.  Sometimes it was ring the doorbell and run type of thing, sometimes it was blalant delivery with conversation.

You've never done May Day tricks?

What have you done before? I have heard of May Day but never knew it was a day that was actually 'celebrated'

We have May Day here. Big town parade, dance around the may pole, farmers markets etc. I just marked it on my calendar the other day. I think doing a snack or treat would be fun but can't think of anything

I thought it only existed in the Renaissance! Elizabeth I used to have her ladies in waiting wear matching dresses to the ribbons on the May pole.  (I know that from Art History 101!!!) So, maybe apple crostada or other old-timey food?

I would make paper cones as a kid- fill it with candy and put dandelions, leave at friends doors. Haha.

I thought it was so cool when I learned about it. I always mention it, and say "Happy May Day" and think I should do something, but people just stare at me....

I Love the hydrangea cupcakes in that link!

Those are cute ideas in the link, but I am cracking up that they left the spam comments there...NFL jerseys and home loans don't have anything to do with May Day.
