Basically you can click on someone's profile and like it on FB, tweet it, or add it to Goggle +.  I just did it to Afton's profile and it shared her first name and a direct link to her profile.  (Don't worry Afton...I deleted it immediately.)

Holy eff, when will the people who run this site realize that people don't want their effing shiit linked to anything.  Especially not anything that can give you their real name or any personal information.  I hate these sites more and more all the time.

I just changed my name on my profile here to a totally fake name. 

I've had mine as my initials only for a while now because I knew that eventually they'd find a way to eff that up but now it won't let me change it again to my, uh, "new name".

I changed my name too, but when I log out and "like" my own profile it still shows my first name. Maybe it will take a while to update to my "new" name?

This is ridiculous.

The issue before was that you could "like" a specific post which would link to your page.  They "fixed" that issue by tying it into FB, Twitter and Google+ through your profile instead, probably hoping people wouldn't click on profiles and notice.

Before you could "like" and share threads directly to your Facebook feeds. I didn't know they were doing member profiles now.

Guess I'm getting rid of pics, names, and trying to change my screen name. Or maybe I'll just quit TN because it seems like they can't grasp the concept of privacy.

Well, I comprehend that it's not the same *exact* issue as before. But close enough that they should be able to extrapolate that we would be upset about this too.

I've had a fake name and address since the beginning. I'm contrary like that I guess.I just thought they never had a right to know, so I made something up. I believe I used idiocracy for my inspiration.

Ditto.  I never give out my real personal info online unless I'm having something shipped to me.

So I was testing things out, and I put all fake names in (Alouette Beans) and changed my email to something totally different than what would ever be associated with my real life. Then I logged out and tried to "like" myself. Except, the facebook profile that was logged in was DH! lol, so on his profile for a minute was that he liked AlouetteBeans' profile. LOL hopefully no one noticed

Click My Account at the very right top of the page. Good luck though, I've been trying to edit some things & even though it says changes submitted that is not the case.
