As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Hello, T&R! Back from my Lenten hiatus.
I just complained about it on the mod board. Eeesh.
It's not just thebump, the links are on your profile here too.
I may quit thenest and bump if they don't remove that.

The nest gets dumber every day.
If we didn't want it the first time..we don't want it the second time no matter how you try to sneak it in.
I give up. I finally just made a nest only email that is no way linked to my FB.
I'm pretty open, but this is ridiculous and even too much info for me.
I don't get it, how are people finding people from here on fb? Where are they liking them??

I am worried about FB linking the two emails.
Call me paranoid, but I've had enough people I've emailed with from my nest email and never contacted from my regular (FB) email mention that I show up as a suggested friend on FB.
I agree with Katie. Should this become an issue it's enough for me to leave permanently.
The first time they did this, some people tested it and it DID link the two separate emails. I assume it would still work that way.
Are they TRYING to run people off?
I think it is IP addresses, not your email address that is the link. I am not on FB, but when DH and I tested it before I seem to remember it connecting to DH's FB. I am going to be really sad (and pathetically lonely), if there is a mass GBCN.
Crap! I forgot about that. Sucky. I did use a fake name to sign up for my email too, but we'll see what happens.
This becomes a big deal and I'm gone too. However, there is a whole thread about this over on MM and all it seems to say is, "SoandSo liked Whoevers profile on the nest.com." Really it just makes the liker look dumb....lol. No one wants to see that on their own fb.
Still the privacy with this is scary.
It likes your profile on fb so anyone can click on it, see your entire profile, click on your photos, your posts etc. And if you have your real name in TN it posts your real name on FB.
