May I see your pantry, cabinets?
How do you store dry goods? Glass? Plastic? Is one better than the other? What about labels? What do you use? TIA
sometimes all you really need in life is a pink wig.
Re: May I see your pantry, cabinets?
I am planning on putting this on the side of my fridge.

I am very limited on pantry space (or I feel that I am
), and I love the idea of being able to see all my canned goods at once without rummaging for them. I came across it on pinterest. I use mason jars/glass for most of mine, just as preference. For labels, if its something that changes a lot, I keep a small pint of chalkboard paint, and some spare chalk to label/date stuff (creamer, left overs, sauces, etc).
I drop things too often to store anything in glass. Just yesterday I dropped the flour that I hadn't changed to our new containers yet, and broke the lid. Thankfully, it wasn't in a glass container.
I use Lock & Lock storage that I bought from QVC for almost everything. They have a good good selection of colors, sizes and sets. I do need to label them, (I have two label makers, so I have no excuse) but I am really happy with how they are working out.
I love that look, and in theory it seems like a good way to store things, but in practice, it just doesn't work for me. I tried it before and it drove me crazy.
I think because my brain is so cluttered all the time, I have a hard time with visual clutter. I function better if storage containers are the same/similar look.
I sometimes will put directions and the mix/grain into a ziplock bag, then put the bag into a storage bin with similar items. That way I can see all of the grains/beans/whatever at the same time, and I don't have to look through things from a different category to find what I want. Sometimes I just know that I want a grain, but don't know which one until I see what there is. It just works well for my brain. A plus is that DH can find things easier, or even better, put them away where I can find them.
