All weekend there were posts popping up about the NG's putting a FB "like" option in the Nest profiles and what a privacy issue that is. Do you know if they intend to take it down?

I think if they don't remove it, I'm going to change my sn and email address to something fake. I don't like the idea of my Nest profile being linked to my FB.

I saw that this weekend and have been talking on the mod board about it.  We're waiting for a response from the new NG Dani, so when she posts (she hasn't responded at all yet), I'll update.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to address the feedback we're getting about the Likes/+1s on profile pages. These have actually been on your profiles for two years. We haven't had complaints about them until now, but your feedback is very important to us.

We're planning on leaving them up for private view -- meaning you can share your profile alone, if you choose to -- and remove them for public view. We'll also remove the option ASAP for Bump profile names to be shared.

 If you have additional concerns, please let me know. I'll get back to you shortly with an ETA for the removal.

That's the thing though - it's always SOMETHING.  First the general FB likes. Then pinning people's pictures. Now profiles with FB buttons.  I'd so much rather US actually have control over our board, ya know?
