Shrimp Question

I'm making bbq shrimp for dinner and the recipe uses quite a few spices and sauces, etc. I missed a detail when looking at the recipe...it calls for unpeeled shrimp when cooking it with all the stuff. And I bought already peeled shrimp. Is there any way to do this without completely ruining the meal. What can I do to salvage it? Here is the recipe if that helps:

I'd just cut the cooking time down. I don't think you'll lose anything by using peeled shrimp. I personally dislike having to peel shrimp, even for a shrimp boil-type thing like this. Too much work and all the good spices end up on your fingers instead of on the shrimp meat. This way you've got the meat with the spices on it.

I hate cooking with (and then trying to peel) unpeeled shrimp. Seems like such a waste of good seasonings, not to mention my time when I sit down to the meal. I say it's fine. Maybe decrease the cooking time so they don't dry out...

Totally agree with pp's- they'll cook a little faster, probably, but be way easier to eat.  Seriously, by the time I'm done cooking, I want to eat, not have to take my food apart!
