Re: Anybody host Easter?
Me neither... my "holiday" is Thanksgiving. I brought Dr. Annie's Strawberry Salad - which was a big hit though:

Would love to see some great pics/recipes from others.

I wish I would have! We were exhausted from going to 3 different events on Sun to make the rounds and see everyone.
I took the following:
Cream Cheese Danish
http://allrecipes.com/recipe/easy-cream-cheese-danish/detail.aspx?event8=1&prop24=SR_Title&e11=easy%20danish&e8=Quick%20Search&event10=1&e7=Home%20Page - I did pineapple since I had it on hand but should have done blueberry. I also was out of powdered sugar and didn't get to make the glaze which would have made things just right. It was good though!
Grape dessert:
http://www.skinnytaste.com/2010/07/creamy-grape-dessert.html - Found this on Pinterest. It was a huge hit!
Cheese Ballhttp://www.justapinch.com/recipe/i-could-have-been-a-cheese-ball-but-the-pecans-let-me-down-by-deb-kotansky-deb77. But I didn't have time to swing back to the house to pick it up so DH and I have been snacking on it. It's tasty but definitely came out too watery to have made it into a cheese ball.
This was one of the recipes I've posted on here. Do you mean watery-watery or just too moist to be a cheeseball? Because it wasn't watery at all for me when I made it and I'd hate to think I led somebody astray!
That grape dessert sounds odd. Like the blogger said, the ingredients don't appeal when you read them, but it's got such good reviews. I'm going to add it to my list of things to try for summer cookouts.

My SIL makes something very similar. She calls it "grape salad", but with all the cream cheese and sugar I hardly think it qualifies as a salad
, but it really is good. This is closer to the recipe I've used:

I did! I had 12 adults and 12 kids. Here what I served for brunch:
A honeybaked Ham (bought!) Homemade mac & cheese, homemade hashbrowns, egg & sauasge casserole, shrimp cocktail, smoked salmon & bagle platter with cream cheese, sliced tomato, onions and capers. And then I had a three tier stand that had homemade cinabun muffins (from a box) and crumb cake (bought from bakery) and an irish bread somebody brought. Then I had a big bowl of fruit salad.
Then for dessert there were vanilla cupcakes and those rice krispie treats in the shape of eggs
Most everything got eaten! I was surpised!

Wow, that's quite a spread for quite a crowd!

There were 21 of us this year, so we went to brunch at the country club behind my house. We were there for maybe 2 hours.
Afterwards, about 12 adults and 3 children came back to my house for several hours. Knowing that appetites would be light having just had brunch, I kept the food to a minimum.
In addition to coffee and a case of light beer, I had:
I had leftover chocolate chip cookies, which I sent home with everyone. The pizzelles & biscotti got finished. Everyone loved the milk glasses for the kids, but the sangria didn't go over as well as I expected. I should have just went with plain white wine...at least I enjoyed the sangria!
I think I got the cheese ball recipe directly from pinterest. I don't know what went wrong since DH is the one that actually made it while I was busy with LO. I can't vouch for how well he drained the pineapple and I did notice he didn't do a good job getting the cream cheese really soft first. It was still clumpy. I could have drained the dip the first time I opened it to taste it so yeah, pretty watery. Next time I'll make it!
But the flavors were super yum!
DH and I host Easter every year. This was our first year in ournew house as opposed to our tiny condo. We had 21 people, all adults or teenagers.
We had a ham, lamb (my mom brought), a tur-duck-hen, salad (SIL brought), 10 pounds of mashed potatoes, homemade mac and cheese, baked sweet potatoes, deviled eggs, quiche lorraine, caprese salad, asparagus (SIL brought), baby brussel sprouts, carrots, pineapple angel food cake, brownies (SIL brought), and a chocolate trifle (our nephew's wife brought).
It was tons of food! I really missed having pasta. It doesnt seem like a holiday to me without meatballs and lasagna or stuffed shells. With having all those meats, it would have been crazy to make pasta too.
We hated the tur duck hen, so next year we'll go back to ham, lamb and lasagna or some type of pasta.
