Well, we got an offer
It is a total low ball offer, but at least it is an offer (first showing after the kitchen was painted). We countered. We'll see if they accept. We have another showing tomorrow, too. So, even if this doesn't pan out hopefully things are looking up.

That's great! People are weird, sometimes they're just trying to feel you out with a crappy offer.

Thinking of doing cosmetic updates to a dated home? These were our costs.
I guess the Realtor's protocol is calling showings from the last 2 weeks and seeing if there is interest, letting them know what we're offering to do. We have had 6 showings in the last 2 weeks and one tomorrow. So, we'll see. We are still going to be walking away from a crap ton of money, but better than just sitting on the market languishing.

and the new kitchen paint really does look great! The old color was fun though. It's amazing how so many people have such a hard time overlooking something as simple as paint.
