Opinion Needed

So one of my best and oldest girlfriend's mother passed away a year ago this Friday. I'm planning on sending her flowers on Friday as a reminder that people still care about her and remind her how much we care. (2 or 3 other of her friends are going in on them with me.) 

Her mom's favorite flowers were pink roses. I should probably avoid those, yes?

I'm thinking these - would these be appropriate? I'm hoping the bright color will cheer her up a little.

Thanks ladies. Her mom was an amazing woman, and I really looked up to her growing up. She went through a lot (she died of brain cancer and fought it for 7 years.) My friend's step-dad, who raised her, died a few months before her mom was diagnosed. It's just her and her brother now, so I really want to do something to make her smile.

I love those, and yellow roses mean friendship (or so I read somewhere) so that fits nicely into your wanting to send them to remind her that you're there for her. :-)

Those are perfect to send. That is great you remember the date. I am sure they will mean a lot to her.
