Red rocket on a cat!?

In all my years with male cats (literally my whole life), I've never seen a cat's red rocket... until now. Gee, thanks Spence. Seriously peeps, is this weird or am I weird that I've never seen such a thing before!?

Re: Red rocket on a cat!?

  • I've only ever seen it on one of our male childhood cats. Although, I did see it multiple times on him. Even as a kid, I would giggle like a maniac.

I haven't seen it on either of our boys in the 19 months we've had them.

  • My childhood cat of 15 years used to find certain blankets, usually polarfleece, and bite it, do the happy paws thing, and get a red rocket. That was awkward for my parents to explain when I asked what he was doing.
  • I saw it for the first time on a male foster cat.  I have seen B's once or twice when he tried to get frisky with SB.

  • OK, I feel better. Spencer isn't a complete freak apparently.  I guess he just REALLY enjoyed bathing himself tonight! :-P

  • I saw it on checkers, my childhood cat, once and I reacted similarly to you :P

I haven't seen sherlock's and I'm happy with that. His huge balls are enough for me to get over and those are out on a regular basis! I guess that's the downside to getting a male cat who was fixed at an "old" age.

  • A couple of times one of my cats, the slightly dumber one (LOL), has been laying on the bed and his leg just starts twitching and straightening out... sure enough the red rocket is at full mast and he is just not sure what is going on or what to do with it... when he started bathing, DH and I had to leave the room and give him some privacy LMAO!!
