Hi there! So I'm putting the cart before the horse - but DH an I have put an offer in on a home that is deffffffffinitely going to need some work in the kitchen.
Namely - there's a wall oven, and then an electric range on the counter top - I'm envisioning pulling out the wall oven, making that space a cabinet (or spot for microwave) and putting a stove in the space where the electric range is.
This means - removing the cabinet below the cooktop, as well as cutting into the countertop - which I think is laminate?
Has anybody done this? DH and I are not super handy, but willing to learn - and FIL is a contractor (woohoo!). I'm hoping this won't be a huge undertaking - and have also thought about maybe just doing new counters while we're at it...?
What do y'all think?
Re: Kitchen Reno?
So the stove is on the right hand side, in the wall. What I'd want to do is remove that - and the cooktop, and put a single unit in the space shown here.
