Chocolate Truffles

I am going to make a couple different types of truffles for favors for my DS's birthday party on Saturday.

How far in advance would you make them? What is the best way to store them until the party (freezer or refrigerator)? I have little truffle boxes that I will package them in Saturday morning, but I'm not sure what to do with them until then.

 TIA!

Re: Chocolate Truffles

  • Unless your house is really warm, I'd package them right away and store them at room temperature, or in a cool place in your house. You could wrap the packages w/ saran wrap or put them in an extra large tupperware/ziplock baggie but I don't think you have to.

I think you're fine to make them now.

  • I used to work at a fine dining restaurant that served complimentary espresso truffles when the server brought the bill (to take the edge off when they saw the total bill?). So, I was making truffles by the several-dozen.

We stored them in a refrigerator, and they kept for several days, so I'd say you'd be good making them up to three days in advance.

Haha! Smart thinking on their part! BTW - that is a handsome little man you have there.

     Thanks ladies Smile
