Anyone use Annie Sloan chalk paint on furtniture?

I've seen a lot of furniture re-do's that used this paint (pinterest, blogs, etc).  Some people swear by it.  Can anyone tell me anything about it?  What makes it so special?

 As always, TIA.

Re: Anyone use Annie Sloan chalk paint on furtniture?

  • I wanted to and asked about it here a while back but didn't get any responses.  I ended up going in another direction since the Annie Sloan paint is $$$.  Maybe it isn't all that popular outside of blogland. IDK.
  • Thanks for the info!  If its crazy pricey then I am probably better off not knowing about it!  LOL

  • I've been reading about chalk paint and how to make your own as it is $$$ and hard to find:

    3 parts paint
    1 part Plaster of Paris
add a bit of water to PofP to make a smoth texture then add the paint

I'm not sure if this works but I"m giving it a try this weekend.
