Re: Blog tuesday!

  • We've been getting little projects done around the house in time for my daughter's First Birthday Party on Sunday. As of now the weather is supposed to be really nice so hotdog to that! We have about 60 people coming (that's just close friends and family). Here are some projects I did:

    image

Finished painting Front door (Valspar Jazzclub - It's still drying here a bit and I have to finish around the window)

    image

Made artwork for daughter's room see inspiration pic in my blog

    image

Also finally hung mirror (I think hubby hung it a little too high but he's so freakin tall) and other goodies we hung as well.

Made a rug for our front porch. I hope to get more done for the front porch today. We had ugly green astro turf or something like that on the steps. My husband pulled it off so that we can refinish the steps with this nifty deck paint stuff (also for cement) but we need to fix them up better before we can paint. We don't have the time to fix them yet so I'm try to disguise or make them look as pretty as possible until then.

I'm going to be making drop cloth curtains (tutorial from diyshowoff - you rock!) for the mudroom. Last night I painted the steps that lead to our never used 2nd floor. It took me all day just to prep them for paint. We painted the basement floor. I hope to paint the bar room walls today or tomorrow. That's all. More blog to come next tuesday. Thanks!

    Aww, thank you!

  • I have been a slacker about blogging because my daughter cut her nap back and I don't have time to get event paying work done.

We did have a great Easter outside working in the yard which included my husband moving grass from one location to another. I call it Poor Mans's Sod. We sees too, but this really helps get it established fast.

I love that you put the diploma in the Gallery Wall.  I'm working on a GW for my hallway and have also been storing my diploma since I don't have an office to hang it in.  Thanks for the inspiration!

  • Let's see...

    Recently we picked out tile:

    a sink and toilet:

and a faucet and towel ring:

to redo our powder room.  Demolition might start as soon as this weekend.

We also installed crown molding in the foyer, and chair rail in the foyer, up the stairs, and around the landing.  That's just about finished.

Plus today we have an electrician at the house working on a whole house fan and ceiling fans in all the bedrooms.  We've been busy!

  • I'm a crazy dog lady and made a silhouette of my dog's head to hang above his leash:
