boden clearance sale?

Has anyone been to a Boden clearance sale? There is one next weekend at a convention center near me. I'm trying to decide if it's worth going, how busy it will be, etc.

Is it as stressful as the Target Missoni opening, with people shoving things in their carts without thinking...or will I be able to casually walk around and actually find a few things that I like?

Re: boden clearance sale?

  • They set up tables according to size 0-2-4/6-8/10-12, etc. for clothes. Jackets were hung up, shoes were on a table, accessories were on another table.

They had a large communal dressing room and then there were people who wore legging and a cami trying on wherever they could find a space.

It was a bit of a mad house. My friend who went when they opened made out really well. I went later and did okay. I actually found more in the dressing room than on the tables since people were just grabbing piles and throwing them in a bag.

Also, bring a bag to carry things around. Cash works well too since the line for credit cards was about 45-60 minute wait.

The prices are flat depending on what the item is: tops/sweaters/cashmere sweaters/jackets/dresses/shoes/belts/scarves

I did okay, I got a cute red jacket and a sweater for $50. I wasn't standing in the credit card line so I whittle my pile to what I had in cash.

ETA: they were constantly putting different items on the tables from large boxes, a lot is still in the plastic bags so the quality is good but you have to be willing to dig through piles and elbow into tables that are set up in a U (3 on each side, 3 in the center for each size).

  • Thanks! That sounds a little crazy. I might make a last-minute decision depending on what mood I'm in on Saturday morning...haha.
