Dried mushrooms question

I bought some dried morel mushrooms last summer/fall sometime (from Target, I think), and they've been sitting in the back of my fridge ever since.  H is certain that they're still OK to use since they're dehydrated and refrigerated (and he also wanted to use 30-year-old cans of dehydrated survivalist food from his mom's basement), but I need third party verification before I'm willing to ingest them.  There's also no "use by" date on the package.

 Advice?
