Which Bar do you like better? (PIP)

do you like A (from crate and barrel):

TriadWineTowerF8

or B (this photo is from Bower Power, I would find a small cabinet and get the shelves separately)

thanks ladies for your opinion.

Re: Which Bar do you like better? (PIP)

  • I like A, I'm not a fan of the shelves in B.
  • I'm not really in love with either option. A looks like it doesn't have much storage, and is really only functional for wine. And B looks cluttered to me.

Something like this  would be more functional.

  • I like Ishoes linked bar.

  • I do not like A because it doesnt seem like you can make drinks easily there.  B is okay but it doesnt look like a bar to me.  I have this Espresso Wine Bar (but from C&B outlet) and love it.  The top of each cabinet has wine glass storage racks and I can fit a ton of liquor in the bottom.  All my shot glasses fit under my wine glasses and it stores a ton of wine.  Its great to set up my "drink making station" there for parties.

  • A would probably not be super functional. I like B but the clutter on the left side needs removed so there is still mixing space.
  • What does your space look like?
  • We have one that looks like A and are replacing it with something larger that has more storage.  I would like B better if the shelves matched the cabinet color.

I agree that A doesn't seem like it would be very functional. I like the option Wine Enthusiast suggest. It's very pretty and goes with the same style you suggested in option B.

  • Of the two originally posted, I prefer B.  A looks like it is totally not functional for anything but storage.  I don't care for the shelves with B....I think it would be better in a similar color.  I really like the option that WineEnthusiast posted.
  • I like B better, but would prefer the shelved matched the cabinet.

I also really like something this:

I totally agree.  I come across bar cabinets all the time in antique stores.  My fav are the art deco styles ones.

I agree.   I also really like the cabinet that Darby posted.

  • Thanks ladies, I should've mentioned that I onoly 24" of wall to work with... so it needs to be slim. I was thinking B with the matching color shelves, I would get a cabinet or small dresser and add shelves to the inside doors for additional accessories and I would also not have so much clutter on top of the cabinet. I agree that A does not look functional, I chose it because of the size. I like all the suggestions but my house it itty bitty and it just wont fit.

  • I would go with the dresser and shelves.  I don't really like the tall one for a bar because I think the appeal is preparing drinks at it.  Good luck with your project!
  • Have you checked world market they have some nice fold away bars. I think something like that would be more functional.
