Shelter in MI inundated with dogs
Re: Shelter in MI inundated with dogs
Awful.
FYI though...it's in Michigan, and not Maryland.

A lurker here but I live about a half hour away from here. This woman is horrendous. I hope she is punished for being so irresponsible and abusive to those animals. If she isn't charged with anything she will have fines up the wazoo since she didn't have licenses for any of those dogs or any of the proper documentation to be breeding. On the news tonight she was interviewed and she said "None of those dogs were sick, my husband and I were sick and got behind on grooming." I feel SO sick for those dogs and wish we were in a position to adopt one.
The shelter has been closed to the public temporarily because they are so overwhelmed with the amount of dogs. The number of dogs keeps climbing since many of the dogs were/are pregnant and keep having babies. This shelter can usually care for somewhere around 40 dogs normally.
