Re: Flame me

  • I'm going to adopt lots of Irish boys in hopes of recreating what I lost when NBC cancelled The Black Donnelleys.

True, a ball of cells can't survive on its own outside the womb, but neither can a full-term newborn.

At least get your arguments straight. The standard isn't "survive on its own", it's "survive outside the womb" -- in the hands of someone other than the mother if need be.

I'm gonna have to agree with Lipski's opinion, somewhat. However the semantics are off.

I'm pro-life, personally, but I don't judge those who are pro-choice or who have had an abortion. It's just my stance, I'd prefer that people didn't kill unborn babies. But I'm not gonna go protesting against it and making people feel horrible about themselves.

What makes me angry is that there are so many different methods of birth control, and so many idiots out there that are too lazy and stupid to use them. Then some of them abort the baby and whine the rest of their life about how it was so hard for them to make that decision and they're gonna be sad forever because of it. More people need to be responsible and use birth control. It's readily available to women. If you're going to have sex and you're too lazy to protect yourself, be prepared to live with your decisions no matter what you choose.

There are, of course, cases of rape. In which of course the mother shouldn't have to take care of some random attacker's baby. But anyone can claim rape, so therefore everyone gets the right to abort. And therefore I don't judge anyone because who knows what the truth is.

I think what Lipski is saying is that she can't stand when people don't bother to try to prevent pregnancy and whine about how their life is so horrible because they "had to" abort the baby.

As for someone who posted about people only wanting to adopt white, healthy babies: That's just because white people are more likely to adopt, statistically speaking.

White people are statistically more likely to want children much later in life than other races. (Many of them wait way too long and then suddenly wanna have kids in their late 30's and 40's and then realize they can't.) They want a child who looks similar to them. White, healthy babies are very rare and difficult to find, which is very unfortunate for those wanting to adopt.

Otherwise, if they're walking around with a child of a different race than their own, ignorant idiots are going to assume that Mrs. White had sex with a black man and had a baby, and Mr. White decided to marry her and raise the child as his own. Too much judgement in the world, that's just the way most people are.

Also, who doesn't want their child to be healthy? Adopted or not? Enough said.

     I can't resist a debate. :P

You should try. Really really hard.
