Ha! Was at a party that the cops got called to!
My neighbors were having a party tonight ... his 55th birthday. There were maybe 30 people there but one of the other neighbors was also having a party (there are only 8 houses on our street). Neither party had more than 30 people. Cops showed up to ours at 11:10 which means someone called right at 11:00. Thing is these neighbors often have parties but are always VERY respectful of the fact that our homes are close together. We know all the neighbors and 4 of the 8 of us are pretty tight ... a fifth usually is but her boyfriend is pissed at the host of tonights party for something that happened last night (he also lives in our neighborhood and they've been friends for years). We've narrowed it down to 2 people ... we could all be wrong but it's likely suspects.
My thing is this ... yeah, we were loud, no question about that. The garage door was open, music going, etc. But knowing all of us and having never had this problem in the past, wouldn't you just walk over and ask to turn it down? They would have been more than willing to do so. In the 8 years we've lived here and through all the parties no one has ever called the police before. I'm 31 years old ... I don't think I've been to a party where the cops got called since I was in college! hahahha
