Earlier today I microwaved a soup at hand to have for lunch, it fell over in the microwave spilling out everywhere and dripping out onto the cooktop. Of course, Sherlock came running and started trying to lick it up while more was dripping onto his head. So not only did I have to worry about a huge mess, I had to worry about him not eating the soup and getting out of my way so I could clean it and I had to worry about cleaning him.
Poor little guy wasn't happy when it got to the cleaning him part. He just now dried off completely and it's been 5 hours.
Re: Oh Sherlock...
oh my! Did you give him a bath!? or just wipe him down?
I've always felt bad when I've had to give a cat a bath (we had a cat who would get dandruff in the summer). They look so angry, and pathetic, and skinny, it's funny and sad at the same time.
I didn't give him a full bath because he only got wet on his head and a few spots on his back. I have the cat bath wipes that I used and then when that dried (recently) and he was still sticky, I held him down in the sink and used the sprayer on the faucet to get the rest off.
I fed him right after so he's already forgiven me. Haha!
