If you've recently installed hardwood flooring...

can you tell me how much you paid for the stair nosings?  I just got an invoice for the hardwood we are installing and it shows that for the 9 stair nosings we need it is $165 each (for a total of $1,485)!  This seems insane to me!  I'm waiting for a call back from my sales rep to discuss it - I just wanted to see if this seems like a typo to anyone else or if it seems right??

Thanks!

Re: If you've recently installed hardwood flooring...

  • That seems like a typo to me.  I would guess, max, that they should be around $50 each (which still seems high).  I would hope for closer to $25 per each.

  • That cannot possibly be right.  It should be anywhere from $20 - $60 each.
  • That seems really expensive.  When we did our floors the flooring was $3.99 a square foot and the stair nosing was $79 a piece.  I was shocked at how expensive that was!
