...but didn't.
I run an after school program and my kiddos didn't have school today, so one of my girls decided to bring in her new puppy.
So her dad brings the puppy in and shares what the cute little thing is...he calls it a Teddy Bear..yep. Apparently a Lahsa/Shih Tsu mix is a Teddy Bear. Who knew? They got this little guy from his brother who bred his dogs and got 7 puppies. This poor little guy is only 7 weeks old. Gah!
I didn't want to go all "a teddy bear is a toy not a dog, and that poor thing should still be with mama" on my little girl because she doesn't know any better, but I really wanted to.
My program is doing a Global Youth Service project with our local humane society, and we will be talking about spay/neutering, and getting dogs from the shelter instead of places like the "Teddy Bear" factory.
Just had to share. :-)
