Before:
Horrrible vinyl floor, horrible yellow color, damaged soffet with huge, ragged space bewteen it and cabinets, cracks in drywall, etc.
But we didn't want to spend a lot to fix it up b/c we know we are not staying in the house (but I couldn't live like that)! So we had tile backspash & floor installed (total cost for materials & labor approx. $2300) - and hubby did the rest, including great job on repairing soffet & adding crown molding to it:
After:
The countertops are not nearly as blue as these pics capture - they are a slate gray with navy blue tint as more accurately captured in the "before" pic. But I think the gray backsplash & floor & accent colors of chocolate, turquoise & lime green work with the countertop, which we didn't want to spend to money to change ( also RAVE for the gray color we used on the walls - Valspar Oatlands Subtle Taupe - I would be happy to use it in my entire house). I am happy with the clean, much more contemporary-looking space we ended up with, but would love to hear your thoughts!
Re: Kitchen before & after (PIP)!!
Very cute! Looks great.
I love the tile and backsplash...but it's amazing to me what changing the paint color alone did!
great updates!
What an awesome transformation. It's amazing what a few things can do to totally update a space.

Looks amazing! Great job.
Do I spy a pale blue color on your dining room walls? Do you mind sharing the color?
I'll hold you in my heart until I hold you in heaven
