Is there a shirt tucking secret I don't know?

I love the way a tucked in button-down shirt looks, but my shirts will never stay tucked! I always get that stupid duck tail in the back. Is there a shirt tucking secret I don't know or is my stupid long torso to blame?

  • I think you need longer shirts.

  • Drat! I was afraid that was my problem. In that case, can anyone recommend a brand that either comes in tall or is just longer fitting?

  • Just get shorter!

Seriously though, I have a long torso and if I so much as take a deep breath, my shirt untucks itself. I've given up.

Yep! This word for word. I have just come to accept that I cannot tuck in a button-down.

  • You could try shirt stays, but they're a little on the uncomfortable side.

I've never heard of these before... I'll have to look into them.

  • I'm pretty sure you do not want shirt stays, unless there is a different kind than what I am thinking of (military).  The only thing that works for me is tucking the shirt into my underwear.  I have about 20 pairs of black or dark colors that match my pants so that if by chance they do show if I bend over, no one can really tell.
  • Longer shirts. You could also try tucking your shirt into the top of your undies.

  • I wear the button down bodysuits from Victoria Secret. They're a bit uncomfortable in the beginning but they look incredible on and give you that slim streamlined look of the shirt being tucked in and cut close to your body!

    This is my approach too.
