Hi,
I'm mainly just a lurker, but I just had to vent on here. Front page of paper this morning, Animal Cruelty in my area. Complete with picture. Turns out this woman doesn't live far from me. It's just disgusting.
Sorry, just had to get that out.

Ugh. So heartbreaking to read/hear terrible things done to innocents (animals, kids, etc).
While the article must have been upsetting, I do think the press helps focus attention on the problem and keeps the pressure on law enforcement and prosecutors not to trivialize the issue.
BrittanyKD - you are probably talking about the same exact story I was referring to. Turns out in most papers, and online, people were giving out her name, address, and phone number. I wonder if she's going to have to move.
They were also linking her facebook page to some of the comments, and on her facebook page, her profile pic is of the one dog, that she treated right. So heartbreaking.
They are taking donations to help with the dog, and I think donating might make me feel like I can actually help. What a jerk that lady is.
