So my father's cancer has returned
Re: So my father's cancer has returned
To cancer, I have this to say.
Sorry, HAB
HAB, I know some docs are fans of cyberknife. Not sure if that is an option for your dad.
Also, I don't know his treatment history but this trial is currently enrolling http://clinicaltrials.gov/show/NCT00724503 ; it uses these conjugated microspheres to deliver radiation to non-resectable liver mets. Again, I have no idea where is mets are or whether he's had prior chemo but I wanted to at least pass it on. Don't hesitate to get in touch if I can track down additional info on trials or stuff.
Thinking of you all.
I am a runner, knitter, scientist, DE-IVF veteran, and stage III colon cancer survivor.
He did have chemo before. They did chemo first and then radiation. I'm pretty sure he is being enrolled in a clinical trial now as I know he did one last go round too.
Thank you so much for the info, epphd. I'll pass it on.
