Talk to me about P90x

I am very interested in trying this but because it's a tad on the expensive side DH isn't jumping right on the band wagon.  So tell me what it's all about. Was it effective for you. Was it an easy program to follow. Did you burn out on it before the end of 90 days? Would you reccomend it or not? Where did you buy it from and how much was it, is it worth the price?

Re: Talk to me about P90x

  • DH and I love P90X.  We got it on CraigsList for about $40 (don't buy it from Beach Body).  We don't follow the prescribed program; we just do the videos we like.  DH has a particular rotation of upper body workouts to supplement his cycling.  They're tough, but very doable.  Tony always has a demonstrator showing the band option, and the 'easier' option to each move.  It's nice because you can start with lighter weights to get in most of the reps, then increase the weight as you get stronger.  You'll need a pullup bar - you can get one at WalMart that hooks on the door frame.  Tony emphasizes proper form, and doing what you can do.  If you need to pause and rest, that's ok.  I recommend them for a good home workout.

    Thanks!

  • We've done a few rounds since early 2010 and we really like it. My husband and I both saw great results.

There's a "P90X" tag on my blog if you want the details.
