why I love running:

I can get through the leftover easter candy in under a week and still have calories left over and lose a pound while I'm stuffing back snickers minis.

It's the only thing I do where I can see genuine improvement from week to week

It's peaceful and I get to see what's going on in my neighborhood

It makes me feel powerful, awesome, incredible. for like 12 hours after I'm finished.

It puts me into a better mood. instantly.

Why do you love running (or whichever activity you love)?

  • I don't reall love the act of running. But I LOVE the way I feel after I run. That's what keeps me doing it!
  • 1) It's my time to just zone out.

    2) It makes me feel awesome, powerful, and accomplished when I'm done.

    3) It negates the junk that I eat at times.

    4) It makes my dogs happy and exhausted.  Big Smile

I know you feel my pain - I remember those months where your schedule was so crazy you couldn't do everything you wanted, either. Sooooo . . . I guess Ihatechu a little less.

  • i love running at sunset. it is so peaceful and beautiful. we really get some amazing sunsets around here.

i also love running down at the park near my house. all the school kids are playing sports. it's just a great, fun, active atmosphere that i like seeing & hearing.

i also love how i feel after. i definitely get a high. even my hubby notices b/c he says i don't shut up after i get home, lol.

i also just like talking about running w/ my sibs, friends, coworkers, and neighbors. it's just fun to talk shop and get tips/advice. kind of like this board too. :)

  • I love having time to just zone out

I love the feeling of accomplishment after finishing (even if it just a short run)

I love how it makes my legs look and how much stronger they are, even if I curse them when I am in the fitting room

This x 100000000000.  I loathe actual running but LOVE how I feel after. Love!

  • I love running because I love beer, lol.

But seriously, though, it's the most effective workout for me. I feel my sexiest when I've been training diligently for a race.

And I also love racing. That's probably one of the biggest gains for me. Seeing all that hard work and dedication paying off when I cross the finish line. The atmosphere of races is incredible.
