Carpet Shampooer?

Can you recommend your carpet shampooer? We have very light carpets and 2 hoovers have crapped out on us. We also have a bulldog and a yorkie who occassionally have accidents so I really need something powerful. If you love your shampooer can you tell me what you have? Thanks!

I don't have a shampooer rec, but definitely make sure you are cleaning up any accidents with an enzymatic cleaner like Nature's Miracle.  Other cleaners won't fully break down the pee/poo, which can lead to more accidents (because the dogs can still smell it).  I treat any accidents thoroughly with NM (which includes letting it sit for days or even up to 2 weeks), and then I periodically rent a carpet cleaner and use the pet-safe cleaning formula.

I just bought a spot bot from BBB ( http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=17748190 )

BEST $150 I've EVER spent. Granted, it's not a whole house carpet cleaner, but it works GREAT for pet stains. (I have a cat who likes to leave me little poo presents occasionally in the house...) plus the occasional throw up or muddy paw prints, or even human messes (spilled drink, food, mud, etc)

Seriously, we've had this thing for a few weeks and have already gotten our money's worth out of it.

We have this one for spot cleaning.  It really works well, actually it worked better than the professional cleaner we had come in.

We have a Hoover Max Extract that I really like. We just got it in December, so we haven't had it long. No complaints so far though.
