i hate when plus size places do this
i just saw a commercial for onestopplus.com (i think that's what it was called). the actress wasn't even overweight! if she was it was only just barely. jeez if you want to appeal to plus size people use plus size people. they cater to 12-44. use a 20 then. i honestly would not have known it was a plus size commercial based on the actress. it's so insulting to plus size people. if you're trying to endear them, use actresses that look like them.
rant over.

Sadly, models are always too thin. The truth is that clothing designers don't pay attention to the shape women are. The reason you saw an actress that slim for a plus-size clothing line is likely because the items won't look good on a truly plus size woman.
My Profile
Exactly. So annoying!
i agree that that's what clothing designers think. that is the reason sited most often. i disagree however that they wouldn't look as good.
this agitates the crap out of me too. Honestly, the size doesn't matter, it's not the number of the size, it's how you look in the clothes you wear. Hell, i'd rather wear a a plus size and look damn good, than squeeze my a$$ into a size 10 just to say that i'm wearing a 10, or whatever the magic number is.
I think that if the designers would get that, and stop focusing on a perfect size or number, then we'd all be better off. Including them, they'd sell more clothes.
i remember i used to cut the tags out of my clothes if i thought the size was too big when i was younger, what the hell for? funny how stuff like that loses its importance after you live life a little more....
on that note, i think it's time for some ice cream...
