Best thing you've eaten lately?
We made pizza last week with chorizo, red onion, jack cheese, jalapenos and sundried tomatoes that was really good.

Re: Best thing you've eaten lately?
Panko crusted fried watermelon and cucumber - sounds strange but it was so good. We had it at a restaurant we went to in NYC.
As for things that I've made, I made a pretty killer chicken pot pie a few weeks ago. I didn't make the crust myself though.
I decided that's what I wanted to make, and got ready to put it all in the pie dish when I realized I don't actually own a pie dish. So I whipped up extra filling and used a round pyrex casserole dish and had deep dish chicken pie.

Chicken Picatta at cheesecake factory. OMG, soooo amazing.
I do not even want to guess how many calories it was! The portion was huge, and super creamy and decadent. And the angle hair pasta!

Oh, I love Coop's! They have the best gumbo...dark roux FTW!

a spectacular ny bagel for breakfast-but then again-that's every friday
other than that on wednesday i went to dinner with my mom and had a grilled tilapia with a caper/tomato/onion/olive sauce. it was really delicious.
I made a cheesecake for Passover that was so delicious! Chocolate macaroon crust and a simple cheesecake recipe. I think we are so used to eating cardboard for a week that this dessert was beyond divine.
I also made a very yummy turkey potpie with all of my seder leftovers and it too was super good. I don't subscribe to all of the packaged/mixes for Passover products so I think our food so much better than the 'fake' stuff.
I would really like a really good pizza though.
An Amish Apple Dumpling from Reading Terminal Market...if I ever go on "The Best Thing I Ever Ate," that's what I'm going to say!
But, I did make chicken francese the other night and was really really happy with it!
Peppadew peppers. Was cooking with my girlfriends and we were making something that needed piquillo peppers. Friend accidentally bought peppadew peppers instead (I really don't have a clue where you would even find piquillo - they seem to be very hard to find). Anyway - awesome!!! I promptly went out and bought some more.
(Also - dittoing recs for Coop's - in addition to the gumbo, their duck quesadilla was very good).
