We just went for a 45 minute walk. I sat on he couch and she was sleeping on the floor. I got up and she came running to follow me. She could be in a sound sleep and she gets up.
Re: Does your dog?
I yell at MH every time he says it.
As Kaya gets older she only gets up from her sound sleep if we're walking around 'that time of day'. She knows she gets walks when we wake up, once in the afternoon and once after work.
If we say 'go', 'out', 'walk', 'park', 'outside' in ANY sentence she gets the zoomies.
My parents were visiting and said "we should GO OUT on the patio for coffee", Kaya got the zoomies and my parents laughed saying Kaya wants coffee.
One of my three dogs, Kaycee, does that all the time. She's my protector. She's always following me, checking up on me, licking me, making sure I'm okay, watching out of windows, guarding the door.
One time it was dark out and I was in the yard with her and her fur on her back bristled up and she jumped in the way of me so I couldn't get past her, stared off into the yard, and then she almost attacked a potted plant that had fallen over cause she thought it was a stranger in our yard. It was very unlike her to be so freaked out! When she realized it was a plant, she turned back into her normal goofy self.
She rarely sleeps when I'm awake, but when she does I can never sneak away without her. :P It's so cute how protective and sweet she is. She's the most loyal dog ever. I think most dogs that have a close bond with their owners do this.
