Red Front Door
Hi all.
I posted the other day about what color we should paint our siding. We're definitely going with some sort of beige/grey color on the 2nd floor. I'd also like to do black shutters on the 2nd floor as well. The columns will be repainted white and we'll be replacing and painting the porch floor in most likely a grey. I was thinking of painting the door red. I saw Jess' post below about a yellow door, which I also love but I keep coming back to red.
Anyone have a color suggestion? Here is the house now that the front porch walls were taken down. (sorry, don't really know how to PIP)

Im not really help here because im not a huge fan of the red front door idea, but I can try to help show you what your red door will look like with grey. The house i bought had a red door with grey shutters.
I repainted the door and shutters black as well...
Hope that helps a little.

Well if you don't want to copy me and go yellow, I could also see a blue working really well.
It's funny that you posted this because I was just reading a blog about front door color. Thought it might interest you as well - clicky.
I personally thought the ideas that Jessica posted the other day for the yellow front door was amazing. It looked so bright and inviting. Also, love the idea of a blue front door.

Jess..I never really gave blue a thought. We did a lot of work on the inside of our house removing blue (carpets, wallpaper, painted woodwork) so i think my mind is just turned off to blue right now!
