Yay! My new bike is almost road-ready!
I recently bought a new tri bike, a Parlee TT, with Di2 components (electronic shifting). VERY sweet bike! I had my final fitting this afternoon. Now, my husband/mechanic needs to do a couple of things (cut my aerobars for one) and I'll be out on the road in no time! Yippee!!!
Re: Yay! My new bike is almost road-ready!
First of all let me say that
YOU SUCK!!!!!!
I am so jealous!!!
I want Di2, but a new road bike is at least 2 years away for me. It may or may not have something to do with the new 29ner hardtail mountain bike I have on order that I am getting a killer deal on through my team.
So now that part is out of the way....mmmmm.....Parlee...would this be a custom Parlee?? If so, that's a double mmmmmm.
Mmmmm...Di2...nicest stuff on the market. A friend just got the Ultegra Di2, and she's in love after only a few rides on it. She says that the shifting can't be compared to a cable based system. The shifting action is just so light. Her new Orbea looks so clean without all of the cables. You'll have to let us know how it works after you ride it a few times. Have fun with such a nice new bike....and pictures! We need pictures!!!!

Yes, I will post pictures as soon as it is complete and clean (no wires hanging around!). I've only been on the bike on the trainer during the fitting, but I had a lot of fun with the shifting - just amazing!
When I bought the bike, here is how the conversation went regarding the Di2...
DH- So, I was thinking that I could give you all my Durace components for your new bike, and I'll upgrade to the Di2.
Me- Ummmm.... Why don't I just get the Di2?
DH- Damn.
He's very jealous.
Smart DH...always let the wife have the nicer components. You have taught him well!
