I know you guys can't diagnose me, but I'm just wondering if you might know what's going on and how bad it is.
My left knee has some weird swelling slightly to the left bottom of my knee cap. It doesn't hurt, it's not warm. It is uncomfortable when I bend it due to the pressure of the fluid/swelling in my knee. I've goggled, but can't figure out what it is...
I'm a new runner and my first 5k is Sunday. I ran 3.1 mi on Tuesday with no problems. I did my strength on Wednesday (squats, walking lunges, pushups, planks, upper body weights) , then it was a little uncomfortable when I woke up yesterday and got worse throughout the day (I was in the car driving all day yesterday - so sitting in a small place). I was supposed to run last night, but decided to skip it b/c I was nervous. I rested, elevated and iced it - took some advil. It's still there today - I was in the car all day again driving back from my destination. It doesn't bother me when I walk, but I can feel the pressure.
I'm wondering what this could be and if it's okay/good for me to exercise and do my 5k on Sunday. I'm thinking of doing the elliptical tonight since it's no impact - hoping that moving it might make it feel a little better.
Help!?
